Blu-Ray/DVD Player

The Sony BDP-S3700 Blu-Ray/DVD Player gives you “the best seat in the house while enjoying movies and content from the comfort of your family room.” This Blu-Ray/DVD player allows you to watch Blu-Rays and DVDs by connecting to your TV via HDMI cord. You can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi to access Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming services (access to these services NOT included).

Board Games

Whether you’re looking for a family fun night or weekend of gaming with your friends, the Georgetown Peabody Library has a collection of board and card games sure to please. We feature popular games for all ages like Betrayal at Hill House, Monopoly, and Disney Guess Who! Board games may be borrowed for three weeks and must be checked out and returned to the Georgetown Library. Please do not return our board games  in the book drop. Bocce

Join the timeless fun of bocce ball with this resin, all-weather bocce set. Perfect for any gathering of friends and family on the lawn, at the beach and more! Great for 2-4 player games.

Cassette to MP3 Converter

A portable, handheld USB tape player that works with all kinds of tapes. It has an easy-to-use USB connection for converting the music on your tapes into MP3 files. You can listen to MP3’s on your computer, load them onto your portable music player, or record them onto a CD and listen in your cars, its portable size allows it to fit in virtually any bag and enables you to play and transfer music anywhere.

Color Sensor Colorimeter

Color can be complicated, but with the Nix Mini, it doesn’t have to be. With this handheld tool and our user-friendly apps, you can easily match and identify any color from any surface with just a simple scan.

Croquet Set

Players of all ages can have fun with this lawn croquet game set! Suitable for 2-6 players. Our croquet set comes with a large durable zipper carrying bag, which is very easy to store and transport. You can take the croquet game set on the go to the travel, beach, camping, barbecue, picnics, BBQs, family reunions or all kinds of parties.

Garden Tools

Let’s get growing! The Georgetown Peabody Library offers a collection of gardening tools for Georgetown library patrons to borrow for up to one week. While we hope to include many more tools over time, this collection of 27 items includes lots of unique tools experienced gardeners will want to try out. We have tools for weeding, planting, digging and pruning, and testing. This collection is available thanks to a generous donation from the Friends of the Georgetown Peabody Library. Browse the Garden Tool Binder for more information. Those who wish to borrow our garden tools must review our Borrowing Policy and agree to and sign the Borrower Agreement.

Mobile Hotspots

A mobile hotspot is light and portable, which makes it quick and convenient to access the Internet anytime, in locations where T-Mobile wireless network is available. There are no fees for the device or service. Hotspots may be borrowed for one week and renewed once if there is no waiting list. Devices must be picked up and returned to the Georgetown Peabody Library. Those who wish to borrow a hotspot must agree to and sign the Mobile Hotspot Lending Policy

Pickleball Kit

Pickleball, is a fun and easy-to-learn paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis! Kit includes two paddles, two outdoor balls, and two indoor balls. Net is not included in this kit, can be played on a tennis court.

Roku Streaming Stick

Stream Netflix, Apple TV, Disney+, PBS Passport, and Kanopy with one of the library’s Roku streaming sticks! For all other channels, you will be able to either use them for free (ex: PBS Kids), or able to log into your own account if you already subscribe to the service (ex: Amazon Prime). STEM Kits

STEM kits and games include building materials, robotics, science kits, and games that focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) concepts. STEM kits may be borrowed for three weeks and must be checked out and returned to the Georgetown Peabody Library. Please do not return our STEM kits in the book drop! Telescope

Explore the night sky! The Library offers an Orion StarBlast Telescope Kit for loan. The telescope may be borrowed for one week and must be checked out and returned to the Georgetown Peabody Library. Please do not return the telescope in the book drop! Those who wish to borrow the telescope must agree to and sign the Telescope Borrower Agreement.

Looking to try out a game before buying it? Want a fun way to connect with your friends? Hoping to spend some time lost in a fantasy world? Check out GPL’s collection of video games. We have games for different consoles such as the Nintendo Switch, XBox One, and the PS4. Video games may be borrowed for three weeks.
