InterLibrary Loan
Can’t find what you’re looking for in the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium catalog? You can borrow books or other items through the Georgetown Peabody Library from libraries outside our network. The Commonwealth Catalog allows you to borrow from a consortium of Massachusetts libraries.
Using the Commonwealth Catalog
The Commonwealth Catalog extends your search beyond your local library’s resources. In one easy step, you can search through millions of items at participating libraries across Massachusetts to find the books, DVDs, and music you’re looking for. Make a request and it will be delivered right to your local library for quick pick up. We’ll notify you so you can stop by and pick it up. You’ll also return the item to the Georgetown Peabody Library.
Please note:
- All MVLC patrons with active library accounts may request materials from the Commonwealth Catalog.
- You will be notified via email when an item is available for pickup.
- Commonwealth Catalog items are checked out for 28 days.
- Items may not be renewed.
Please search the MVLC catalog first. If the material you want is not available in the catalog, please login to use the Commonwealth Catalog.
