The CFCE of the North Shore will be offering a Come and Play playgroup.

Come and Play is an engaging playgroup designed to support children’s growing curiosity and energy. Through fun, interactive activities, they can explore, learn, and develop essential social, motor, and cognitive skills. This playgroup provides a lively environment where children can explore the world around them, make new friends, and enjoy the excitement of early learning, all while parents and caregivers share in their developmental milestones.  No registration is required.

Rare Books Discussion – Monday, November 18 at 6PM

Join Kenneth Gloss, internationally known rare book specialist and appraiser who runs the Brattle Book Shop in Boston, on Monday, November 18 at 6PM for a talk about the “improbable finds” of his decades-long career and discuss the value of old and rare books.

There is also a Q&A session at the conclusion of his talk.  Following the talk and question-and-answer session, Ken will give free verbal appraisals of books participants have on hand or will do so at his shop in Boston at a later scheduled date.

Virtual: Holiday Baking Demo

Join registered dietitian Heidi McIndoo on Monday, November 18 at 7PM via Zoom to make mini pumpkin pie tartlets. The holidays are bearing down on us and coming up with new and nutritious options (really, is that even a thing?!?!) can be challenging. This virtual baking demo will be a sweet treat for the holidays that won’t sabotage your healthy eating goals.

Virtual: All About Bats

This program on Thursday, October 17 at 7PM via Zoom will explore the importance of bat conservation, the impact of declining bat populations, and the efforts underway by MassWildlife to protect these remarkable mammals. Throughout the program learn about some myths and facts about bats, while gaining a deeper understanding of why bats matter and how we can contribute to their preservation.
