Books in Bloom takes place at the Georgetown Peabody Library on Saturday evening, May 17, 2025 (6:30-9:00 PM).

The Books in Bloom 2025 event will showcase gorgeous flower arrangements (all created by local participants) that are designed to complement specific books. Wine, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and other refreshments are provided as you tour through the library and admire the floral designs. You can vote on your favorite arrangement — and you can enter raffles to take one of the arrangements home. All proceeds benefit the library.

Tickets to attend the event are $25; the drinks and food served at the event are complimentary.  Tickets will be available soon! Check back for more info!

MAKE A FLOWER ARRANGEMENT

It’s fun! We encourage you to illustrate a book of your choice with an arrangement using flowers (fresh, dried, silk, etc.) and/or some other medium or props depicting the book’s theme. You’ll be able to keep or donate your arrangement, which will be in the running for the People’s Choice award. Please fill out this exhibitor’s form and follow the instructions for emailing or dropping it off.

April 28 is the final deadline to sign up as an exhibitor!

BUY A PROGRAM BOOK AD

You can place an ad in the Books in Bloom 2025 program book! Remaining available ads start at $50 and go up to $175, depending on the size of your ad and whether you want black and white or color. VOLUNTEER TO HELP WITH THE EVENT

It’s all hands on deck for this event, and we would welcome your help! If you have special skills (marketing, promotion, catering, floral arrangements), please let us know, and we will add you to the appropriate working group. But you don’t need special skills! We just need people who would like to help in some way, including setting up the event on May 17 and cleaning up when it’s over.
