2024 Winter Take and Make Kits
The holiday rush has begun and you might not have time to stay for our programs. No worries! Come by and grab one of our Take & Make craft kits made for you to take home with you. There will be no registration to reserve a take and make kit. The kits will be available first come, first serve each week starting on Tuesday.
These take and make kits were made possible by the Friends of the Georgetown Peabody Library.
12/03/24: DIY Hand Warmers (for teens and adults)
Hand warmers are a wonderful thing to have on hand (literally!) during the cold winter months. Using only a few supplies and using a basic hand stitch, you can hand sew and create your own hand warmers, perfectly sized to keep in your pockets!
DIY Calendar (for kids)
Back once again! Decorate a blank calendar and give it as a gift or keep it for yourself.
12/10/24: Sage Garden (for teens and adults)
Herbs are a wonderful addition to any home! They have been grown throughout the world for centuries and are used in everything from cooking, aromatherapy, medicine, crafting to landscaping. Come in and grab a kit to start growing sage at home.
Yarn Wrap Mittens (for kids)
Wrap each mitten with 1 ball of yarn in any pattern you would like. Hang them for a winter decoration!
12/17/24: Bird Seed Ornaments (for teens and adults)
These “ornaments” made of bird seed and pectin are so simple! Making these is only half the fun – watching the birds that will come to snack on the ornament is the other half!
Winter Sun Catchers (for kids)
Decorate a winter sun catcher with tissue paper shapes. Hang your creation on a window or sunny place!
