Historic Milestones: More than Just Old Road Signs

 This year’s speakers are researchers, Mary Gage, and James Gage, they will give a presentation on the historic milestones marking the mileage on the old roads of Massachusetts and southeastern New Hampshire. They will be discussing their history, explain how to decipher the cryptic abbreviations used on them, and offer some little-known facts about the Bay Road. The presentation will be accompanied by photographs of surviving examples.
