Library Closed

Per the direction of the Board of Library Trustees and the Town of Georgetown, the Georgetown Peabody Library will be closed to the public as of Monday, March 16 until further notice. For the most up-to-date information on the COVID-19 Coronavirus in Massachusetts, please visit the Town of Georgetown’s website and the Massachusetts Department of Health website

Delivery of library materials has also been suspended by the state. The Library will be investigating if it is possible to provide some limited services while protecting our patrons and staff and minimizing the risk of spreading the COVID 19 virus. Please check our website for updates in this regard.

We ask patrons to hold onto their items and not return them in our book drop. Staff will not be in the building to empty the book drops! All items have been renewed so that they will not be due until we re-open. Remember that our library does not charge fines for overdue materials!

While we are closed, patrons will always have access to our online resources. Home access to online resources is possible by inputting your 14-digit public library barcode number.
