Hand-Sewing Basics: DIY Pocket Monsters!
Come learn the basics of hand-sewing on Tuesday, October 21 at 6PM while creating your very own “pocket monster” (just in time for Halloween)! This program is for anyone who wants to learn how to sew, ages 8-108.*
In this program, you will learn how to:
- Thread a needle
- Sew a button
- Sew a straight line (“running stitch” and “backstitch”).
- Sew two pieces of fabric together and fill them with stuffing!
Registration required. Families are encouraged to sign up together!
*Please note that this is an ALL AGES program. Any adult should feel welcome to come and learn these sewing basics. Children 8+ welcome, but children 8-12 MUST have a parent or guardian supervising them. This craft involves sharp objects including needles, pins, and scissors, and this is not a children-only event. Please be aware of this when signing up!
