Explore Wetland Animals at Camp Denison

August 9, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Students enter 3rd through 8th grade are invited to explore wetland animals at Camp Denison.  Please register below.

Mid-summer is the height of activity in our wetlands. Beavers and muskrats are fatting up on cattails and water lily roots, dragonflies patrol the skies for mosquitos and other flying insects, and frogs and turtles bask on the shore soaking up the summer sun. Join us for a walk along the shore of Baldpate Pond where we will look for signs of these aquatic animals, attempt to catch a dragonfly, frog and turtle, and learn more about our wetland ecosystems.

Exploring Wetland Animals will be led by Andrew Prazar from the North Shore Nature Programs.  This program is funded through federal funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
