2025 Summer Take and Make Kits

Don’t have time to stay for a program, but don’t want to miss out on the summer fun? No worries! Come by and grab one of our Take & Make craft kits made for you to take home with you. There will be no registration to reserve a take and make kit. The kits will be available first come, first serve each week starting on Tuesday.
These take and make kits were made possible by the Friends of the Georgetown Peabody Library.

06/24/25: Embroidered Tea Towel (for teens and adults only)
Turn an everyday item into something special through the art of embroidery!
06/24/25: UV Bead Challenge (for kids only)
07/01/25: Chives in a Chalkboard Pot (for all ages)
Bring some herbs and art to your kitchen this summer! Each kit will have easy growing chive seeds to plant in your newly chalkboard-painted pot. Chalk included to add to your summer whimsy!
07/08/25: Crochet Itty Bitty Kitty (for teens and adults only)
The itty bitty kitties are back! Just as itty bitty, and just as cute. Whether you’re a total beginner or a crochet expert, this kit will give you everything you need to make your new friend.
07/08/25: Ed Emberley Finger Print Kit (for kids only)
07/15/25: Painted Rocks/Tic Tac Toe (for all ages)
A new twist on rock painting! We’ll be painting small rocks with two different images to become our game pieces for their carry bag/tic tac toe board. Have game, will travel!
07/22/25: Needle Felted Bear (for teens and adults only)
Needle felting is back and this summer, it’s all about bears! With beautiful brown wool and specialty needles, you’ll soon have your own fuzzy bear to enjoy the summer with!

Capture your favorite person, place or thing on a magnet! Think artwork, photos, maps, interests- anything that makes you happy!
08/05/25: Mini Canvas Art (for all ages)
Calling all artists! Come in and get your canvas and art supplies to take home and create your own masterpiece to display in the GPL mini art exhibit held the following week.
