Databases

As a Georgetown Peabody Library and MVLC member library card holder, you may access high-quality local, state, and regionally funded databases of full-text periodicals, health and business resources, biographical and literary databases, as well as general research resources are available online in the library or from home.

Note: Home access to online resources is possible by inputting your 14-digit public library barcode number.

  • MVLC  Merrimack Valley Library Consortium website provides access to the online library catalog, MVLC member library websites, and other MVLC member library services.

  • WorldCat The world’s largest network of library content and services. It lets you search the collections of libraries in your community and thousands more around the world.

Digital Audio Book and eBook Downloads

  • Overdrive  Merrimack Valley Library Consortium offers free digital audio books and eBooks for your enjoyment. More Overdrive titles are available through the Boston Public Library to any Massachusetts resident with a BPL eCard.
  • Safari Books Online  Online computer and technology books. You will need your library card number and password to log in.

  • Kids InfoBits Covering 75 full-text curriculum-related magazines and 7 reference books, InfoBits targets the research needs of K- 5 students.
  • TumbleBook Library An online collection of animated, talking picture books which teach young children the joys of reading in a format they’ll love.
