The Georgetown Peabody Library has an opening for a Library Trustee. Those interested in finding out what the responsibilities of a Trustee are should attend the next meeting on Wednesday, June 11 at 7pm.
This position will be appointed by the Board of Selectmen to fulfill the remaining 2-year term.
The library will be closed Saturday, May 31st due to road construction and paving. The library will reopen Monday, June 2nd at 2:00. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The Friends of the Georgetown Peabody Library are pleased to host Scott Jones on Wednesday, May 28 from 6:30 – 8 pm. Scott Jones is the owner of Georgetown Fun (www.georgetownfun.org) , where he publishes information about events taking place in Georgetown. He is also an amateur photograph, DJ, and sound and lighting expert. Through his Georgetown Fun activities, Scott works on and photographs many town events. He has recently published a photographic guide to Georgetown, filled with event and location photographs as well as useful information about the town.
Join us for a lively discussion, Q & A, and book signing! There will be light refreshments and books for sale. All proceeds from the book sales help to pay to support Scott’s Georgetown Fun volunteer activities.
Join Julie, the “Happy Veg Head”, at the library on Wed., June 4 at 6:30 pm as she teaches you how to create delicious and healthful green smoothies during her live demonstration! Participants will learn the health benefits of raw green food smoothies as they’re created and sampled. Four different kinds of smoothies will be made; informational recipe packets will be available to take home.
Registration is REQUIRED for this event so Julie will be able to have enough samples for everyone!
