Meet a ballerina from Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre’s production of the Nutcracker.

She will read the classic holiday book and attendees will have the opportunity to view a costume close-up, feel the point shoes, learn a few ballet steps, and ask the dancer questions.  Tutus are encouraged.

Families are invited to come to the library to create fun holiday crafts.  There will be crafts available for different ages and abilities.  Craft Schedule.

Family Movie Night on Monday Nov 19^th, Starts at 6pm

Come see “Brave” on the library’s big screen.

Monday November 19^th starting at 6pm. No need to register just drop in for a great time. Children can bring pillows to lay down on the floor during the movie. Bring your own Popcorn if you would like a snack! This movie is rated G and is 77 minutes long. Parents or guardians should stay in the library in case of an emergency.

A State of Emergency has been declared for the Town of Georgetown, by the Board of Selectmen due to tropical storm “Sandy”, the library, Town offices, and Georgetown Schools will be closed on Monday, October 29. Any programs being held at the library on Monday are cancelled.

Special Town Meeting has been postponed to Thursday, November 1, 7:00pm at the Georgetown Middle High School.

Calling all students 8-18 for a silk scarf painting class. On Friday, November 2, 2012 from 3-5 our own Sandra Golbert will be offering a beginner’s silk painting class. Sign up at the library or by calling 978-352-5728. Class size will be limited, so call now!

New Museum Pass-US Constitution Museum, free admission for up to 9 people. This is NOT the USS Constitution Ship. The ship is located on the same wharf as the Museum.  Call the library to reserve this pass. The pass must be returned to the library within 48 hours of use.
