Georgetown children birth through entering 6th grade are eligible to signup for the summer reading program beginning June 12th. Registration can be done online at www.readsinma.org/georgetown or at the Georgetown Library. While online check the box for the Bruins You Read You Score Program to be entered into the statewide drawing for great Bruins prizes. Once you signed up come into the library to pick up your summer reading kit.
Use your reading log to keep track of how much time you read, or are read to. Reading material can include books, magazines, comics, recorded books, or even cereal boxes.
To report your progress enter it online or bring your reading log into the library.
The last day of the reading program is August 7th.
The prizes include:
- 10 hours of reading – free book
- 20 hours – free package from the Topsfield Fair (including a ribbon, free admission ticket, a voucher for a free hotdog and soda, and free ride tickets)
- 30 hours – prizes above and a second book
You must report your total hours by August 7th in order to get your Topsfield Fair Prize. No exceptions.
The Prizes will be available August 14th through August 31st.
