The Georgetown Middle School art classes are the artists of the month at the library. Featuring large paper mache items to modern sculpture to wall art, there is a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy! On display from now until June 10, come on over to the library and see this newest display!

Winetasting April 27

The Friends of the Georgetown Peabody Library, Inc. will be hosting their 7th Annual Winetasting on Saturday, April 27, 2013. The winetasting will be from 6:30-8:30pm with coffee and dessert from 8-9pm. Music by the Keith Augeri Jazz Trio.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from the Library or from Georgetown Liquors. Contact the library for more information, 978-352-5728.

Woodcut Workshop April 13

This month’s artist, Kate Hanlon, will be offering a Woodcut Workshop on Saturday, April 13 from 9:30-12:30 in the library. This is a hands-on program and is for adults 16 years and older. Sign up in the library or by calling 978-352-5728. Come see a demonstration about how Kate creates her wonderful prints currently on display in the library.

Kate’s prints will be upstairs in the library until the end of the month.

Kate Hanlon, is our featured artist for March and April. Her exhibit titled: White Lines: the woodcuts of Kate Hanlon is now on our upstairs gallery walls! Come meet the artist on Friday, April 12 3-4:30. Kate will be offering a Woodcut workshop for adults 16 and older on Saturday, April 13, 9:30-12:30. Space will be limited for the workshop so registration will be required.
