2018 State, Federal Tax Forms

As of February 19, 2019, we no longer have any copies of the 2018 MA Tax Booklet (Form 1). Please try other libraries for these booklets. Please note, we do not receive federal income tax forms. The Haverhill Public Library will likely have the federal income tax forms.

On January 7, the IRS announced that the 2019 tax filing season would begin on January 28. The IRS set the opening date to ensure the security and readiness of key tax processing systems in advance of the opening and to assess the potential impact of recent tax legislation on 2018 tax returns. The IRS is currently working to finalize the forms and instructions to reflect the legislation which passed in late December. Most IRS tax forms, instructions and publications will be available electronically on IRS.gov by the beginning of the filing season (January 29).

The filing deadline to submit 2018 tax returns is Monday, April 15 for most taxpayers. Because of the Patriots’ Day holiday on April 15 in Maine and Massachusetts, taxpayers who live in Maine or Massachusetts have until April 17 to file their returns.

You can get most forms online. Printable forms are available at the following links:
