MVLC Catalog System – May 18

Whether you like to browse our on-site collection or download the newest bestseller, the Georgetown Peabody Library and the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium are proud to announce Symphony®, our expanded online software that will be music to your ears! Starting May 18th, Symphony lets you start exploring and find what you love without missing a beat.

Symphony brings harmony to your library experience: improved search functions, personalized lists and suggestions, multiple language capabilities, 24/7 mobile-friendly accessibility, and online payments for fees, fines, and lost materials are now all at your fingertips.

From May 15th through May 17th, there will be some limitations to our current catalog while we move over to Symphony on May 18th. During those three days, patrons will not be able to manage their accounts or place holds. Patrons WILL be able to look up items and staff members can check out items during this offline period. Delivery of ILL items will be suspended until May 22nd. Staff members will be unable to check-in materials, register new patrons, or place holds until May 18th.

It’s easy to get started. Beginning May 18th, anyone with a current library card will be able to check out all that Symphony has to offer, simply by logging in to our online catalog via the library’s home page. Please note, patrons’ PINS will be reset to the last four digits of the patron’s telephone number we have on file.

Don’t have a library card?  Anyone in our community can visit us during regular business hours with a  current photo ID and proof of residency to register for a library card—your ticket to the library’s ever-expanding collection of books, ebooks, audio books, music, videos, magazines, and more.
