Discovering New England Stone Walls

Kevin GardnerIn fields and on farms, along country roads, in abandoned woodlands and suburban developments – stone walls are everywhere in the famous New England landscape.

Join The Granite Kiss author Kevin Gardner at the Georgetown Peabody Library on Tuesday, November 12 from 6:30 to 8 pm for an informal talk about the history, significance, styles, and construction of these unique New England structures.

Along the way, Kevin will build a miniature wall or walls on a tabletop, using tiny stones from a 5-gallon bucket. There is always a generous question-and-answer period, during which listeners are encouraged to bring up specific problems or projects on their own properties.

All are welcome; no registration is required. Kevin’s book will be available for purchase after the program. If you have any questions about the program, please call the library or email Sarah, the Adult Librarian, at slynch@mvlc.org
