Library quilt show features work by Georgetown crafters
The Friends of the Georgetown Peabody Library are sponsoring a quilt exhibit at the library during the month of August. Thirty quilts, created by Georgetown residents, will be on display throughout the library.
There will be an opening reception on Tuesday, July 31, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Many exhibitors will be on hand to talk about their work and answer questions. Several exhibitors will demonstrate quilting techniques, such as applique, stenciled block designs, and painting on silk. Refreshments will be served.
The reception is free of charge, and part of an ongoing series of free programs for library patrons and the Georgetown community.
